Today: your pet's day at a glance

Every pet opens on Today. It answers the three questions you have when you open the app: is anything due, what's coming, and how do I reach the vet.

   Open a pet. On the Pets tab, tap a pet. The row of tabs at the top reads Today · Profile · Records · Meds · Costs · Files, and Today is selected.

   Read it top to bottom.

   • Emergency — the vet with a Call button, allergies, medications and the microchip. Open full card shows everything.
   • Today — one sentence on where things stand, such as "Bella has 1 overdue record. Next: Rabies, Tuesday."
   • AI Insight (Pro) — a short read on how your pet is doing (see below).
   • Due today and This week — the vaccinations, treatments and procedures coming up, overdue ones first.
   • Quick buttons: Log weight, Add note, and Mark dose when the pet has medications.

   Mark something done. Tap the circle beside an item in Due today. It's logged with today's date, the toast tells you when the next one is due, and Add details lets you add the lot number, vet and cost. See Logging a booster, a dose or a procedure.

   Set up a new pet. A pet with nothing tracked shows Get started: Scan a record, Add first vaccination or Apply starter schedule. Pick any one and Today fills in.

   Fill in the profile. On Profile, the ring beside the photo shows how complete the profile is. Tap it to jump to the first missing field. The vet, allergies and microchip you add there are what the Emergency card, its widget and the Wallet pass show.

   

AI Insight is a few sentences about your pet's records, weight trend and what's coming up, written on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence. Nothing is sent anywhere. It isn't veterinary advice, and the card says so.

It appears when:

• you have Pro,
• the iPhone supports Apple Intelligence and it's turned on in Settings,
• the app's language is one Apple Intelligence supports,
• the pet has at least one record.

If the model is still downloading, the card says "AI Insight is preparing". Ask your vet what's right for your pet.

Today, the Emergency card and the Get started card are free. AI Insight is part of Pro.

• Dots on the tabs flag what needs you: orange on Records for something overdue, on Meds for a dose due today; blue on Profile when it's incomplete.
• On iPad, the pet list sits in a sidebar beside Today, and the window can be resized or used in Stage Manager.
