Scan a Record
Point the camera at a vaccination certificate. The vaccine, date and clinic are filled in for you.
Paper certificates, the puppy booklet from the breeder, a stack of shelter papers: scan them and Pet Health+ reads the vaccine, dates and clinic on your iPhone. You check what it read and save.
Steps
Start a scan. On the pet's Records tab, tap + and choose Scan a record. It's also on Today → Get started and in Log a vet visit.
Point the camera at the certificate. The page is captured when it's steady; scan more pages if there are several vaccines.
Check the fields. On Scanned record, the app has filled in what it found: Vaccine name, Vaccinated on, Next due, Vet clinic and Microchip number. Fix anything it got wrong. Show scanned text shows what it read.
Save. The vaccination is added to Records. For a multi-page scan, Next goes to the next page; Done when you're finished.
Free or Pro
Scan a Record is free.
Good to know
- The text is read on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded.
- If the scan is blurry, the screen says so: check the fields before saving.
- The microchip number goes to the pet's profile only if that field is empty.
- The scan fills in the record; it doesn't keep the photo. To keep the certificate, attach it with Add Document on the logged dose, or on the pet's Files tab. Free plans keep 3 documents per pet and 1 per record.
- If the app asks for camera access, allow it in the iPhone's Settings → Pet Health+ → Camera.
